Hey guys, my buddy wants to trade his stock GSR for my mildly built ls. if we trade...we're just gonna trade motors...I'm not gonna give him my kit. do you guys think it's worth it? i've got ross pistons, eagle rods, all ARP bolts, STR blockgaurd, and ported and polished head. do you guys think it's a even trade?? i know the gsr will yield more power...but i want this sucker to be as reliable as my setup is now. HELP!!!

 

how much did you pay for everything?

 

i think the question, is how much can you sell the LS, and buy a GSR setup?

i personally would tell him no.

 

i don't know...who would want an mildly built LS? I'm sure people would take the GSR over my LS anyday...and i don't think i can sell it for much up here in MN. damn this is hard...cause if i do trade, i'll want to put sleeves in it along with pistons, rods, etc...etc...

should i just go ls/vtec as planned??

 

heck no!!!! its a built motor, work is done, you boostin it like water. dont sell it unless something is broken....j/k

I say keep it and jo go ahead with your ls vtec as planned. I mean if you traded you would have to start over, and you woudl end up spended another $2,500 if you wanted to do sleeves and everything. I say keep your motor, sell your ls head for $200. Go with the ls vtec

 

I'll buy a mildly built LS longblock plus I'm local..

Keep the LS Sherman and get Crwoer turbo cams.. Call it good.. See you at the seminar..

 

Sherman, tell him no and send him my way I'll trade him a bare ls block with internals on the side, plus a stock b20 head.

I knew i could count on you guys to give me advice. yeah i'm gonna tell him today that i'm not gonna trade him. i think i would of have had a hard time getting the motor to work properly since he didn't have the ecu as well...so getting the dual butterflies in the intake mani to open would be a B!tch. well thanks again guys!

i wouldnt do it. id sell your head and get a vtec head.... theres no reason to go back to a cast internal block. vtec heads are MUCH cheaper than having a block built right.

No Paul-- Ef-! cams are ALL hype..

They seriously have 3 dynos EVER.. I'll take the PROVEN route EVERY time... Rocket TALKS a big game-- but they have literally NO dynos to back that **** up... I'd go Crower all day for quite some time...
