89 civic 4 door swap ?
a friend of mine has a 4 door civic, and knows nothing about them. I have never seen this civic but he blew up the engine today because of no oil. it is an automatic
I have a d16a6 swap minus the tranny, and injectors.
can i drop in the d16a6 into his car and use his intake manifold, ecu, tranny, ect. (everything except the head and block) with out any problems?
I have done a z6 obd1 swap in my crx, but i didnt know if i would run into any problems with the d16a6 in a auto with dpfi (< I assume it is dpfi, did they make a mpfi 4 door?)
what do you guys think I should charge for labor?
thanks for helping me make a few dollars for my crx.

first off find out what model 4 door he has...if its DX or LX then you can't use his manifold etc cause its DPFI...however if he has an EX then you are in luck because his stock engine is a d16a6....just easy switchover.
The d16a6 will be a direct bolt in. If its a dx or lx you will need...
1. MPFI Injector resistor box.
2. Fuel line from filter to rail.
3. MPFI auto ecu, 88-91 civic ex or 88-89 teg(rich but works)
4. Extra wire for the extra 2 injectors.
Basically your doing an mpfi swap just with an auto, if it is an EX then you just swap the engines and your good to go. I'd charge 200-300ish since its your buddy and the 2 of you should be able to get it done in a day or 2, assuming your using your own tools etc.

i dont have the right ecu for a mpfi auto,
so i was going to make it a DPFI d16a6, wont that work? it wont be the most performance savy, but he needs a car that runs.
