Hey anyone know how to tell the difference between a Manual or automatic ECU. Trying to figure it out by looking at the codes on the ECU its self..Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As per in your original question? or do you mean in general?
In general. No they are not the same.
Open the top of your ECU and look, if it has the resistors in the spots katman shows then as far as a/t vs. man it is the same.
Also check around inside and outside, usually they are stamped AT somewhere. Which ECU is it? It's the 3 digit code above the bar code.
That will help as well. Next time when you ask a question provide all important info first please.

ok what I meant was the at vs man. resistors are in the same place but there not.But the tag on the outside says 37820-PR4-L10
432-200863 AT
So im guessing its an automatic then thanks for the info ....Just wondering if thats the problem my engine is idling at 1500 rpms....

CRX-Pro try PM'ing Katman he's the ECU expert he can tell you what that
PR4 is from. Or try blown90hatch, too. He mods ECU's. HTH

if it is an OBD0 PR4 you can tell if it is auto by opening the cover up and looking on the circuit board for R70 or R69. if there are resistors in those two spots, the ecu is an auto. Are you pulling an auto tranny code?
