Default Accord Question

Does anyone know if a 98-2000 Accord V6 motor would fit into a 90-93 Accord or if it's even worth it?

motor is too heavy, expensive to begin with.
the killer part is gonna be the tranny, hood clearance and motor mount.
then you have to switch the harness to the other side since the motor is left right instead of up and down if you know what I am talking about.
there's not alot upgrade for the 98-02 av6 due to the tranny, and there's a design problem with the auto tranny and some of them fail prematurely.

why not get a light weight, 5speed, highly popular h22a? I mean almost any tuner and gargage specialized in honda can swap the h into the f22 you got there.

another issue is the ecu and immobilzer from the 6th gen

Also on the 5th gen accords the V6 front end was 2 inches longer than the 4 cyl i don't know if it is the same for the 6th gen but something to think about also the H22 is a pretty tight fit in a 4th gen so i can only imange what a V6 in a 4th gen would look like.

There's 5-lug hubs & wheels, but I didn't think the suspension was really different.

But the engine bay is a different story. The I4 & V6 share the same engine bay, but it was planned that way. Mine has the I4 but there's mounting points for the different engine mount locations of the V6. And there's enough room designed into the engine bay to begin with.

why would you want to put the v6 in it you could just put a h22a in it and it would be just as fast or close to it

Um, no...

H22A1: 190hp, 157 ft-lbs
J30A1: 200hp, 195 ft-lbs

As long as you could mate a manual transmission with the V6 it would be a superior engine.
