Just quick question...do the rear calipers also require thicker rotors like the fronts or are the pretty much the same as stock ITR rear calipers....thanks in advanced
nsx rears?would they be well suited for an itr? it seems as though there would be a lot of rear bias with them. just asking the question.

kepani-who drools at mikehonda and yoshi234's nsx fronts.

not really..they are just single piston calipers similar to the ITR ones....I thing that they have better heat disapation though.
just wondering about fitment...looking to replace the fronts too, and wondering it its worth doing the rears

he discarded him b/c that guys doesn't know wtf he's talking about, you don't need 17" wheels to clear nsx calipers.. just b/c nsx's comes w/ 17's doesn't mean you need it, so what he said was complete off.

Not all years do (97 and lower = yes). The newer NSXs you need atleast 16s.(98 and up)
About the NSX rear calipers, they wont fit and they are the same as the ITRs(performance wise).
(Thats what I came to conclusion when I was doing research for my swap).

I'm aware of that, i just didn't feel like being so "tech" about it, I was just referring to the older ones.. since those are the ones that fit on our cars.

The '91-96 rear NSX rotors are 21 mm thick and 282 mm in diameter. In '97 they increased to 303 mm in diameter; I'm not sure about the thickness. I don't know the specs for the ITR rear rotors offhand. (I know the ITR fronts are 25 mm x 282 mm, compared with the '91-96 NSX fronts of 28 mm x 282 mm.)

No, it's not worth doing the rears. It's not really worth doing the fronts, either, if you ask me.

I'm not sure whether you're now talking about front calipers, or rear calipers.

Sort of, but you got the year wrong. The NSX front calipers and rotors got larger beginning in the '97 model year, not '98. So you can't fit the 15" stock front NSX wheel on a '97 or newer NSX. Assuming, of course, that we're now talking about front rotors/calipers/wheels instead of rear ones. I'm really not sure which ones you're talking about now.

Well, now I don't know whether you're talking about front calipers, or rear calipers. And I don't know if you're talking about front NSX rotors, or rear rotors, or what year you're talking about. For example, if you're talking about ITR front rotors or '91-96 NSX front rotors, sure, they'll fit under 15" wheels. They'll probably fit even if you put a '97+ NSX caliper on them; remember, the reason that 15" NSX wheels don't clear the front of a '97+ NSX rotor and caliper is that not only did the caliper change (because the pistons changed in size), but the rotor got bigger in diameter (from 282 mm to 298 mm in front).
I have no idea whether you can fit a 15" CRV wheel over '97+ NSX front calipers and '97+ NSX front rotors. I also have no idea why anyone would want to try that, given that you're talking about putting heavy steel wheels over high-performance rotors and calipers.
Incidentally, to point out one more thing that you seem to be confused about, the calipers on a 1999 Zanardi NSX are exactly the same as any other '97 or later NSX. (You can read about the differences in the Zanardi model here, and calipers ain't one of 'em.) So, given that your description of the calipers is wrong, it's quite possible that your calipers are from a non-Zanardi NSX, maybe even one from '91-96, which we know will fit 15" wheels.
