NOTICE MORE R's STOLEN AFTER THE EXPO?
HAVE YOU NOTICE MORE R's STOLEN AFTER THE EXPO?
Or is it just me?
UPDATE: Still no luck on recovery of my baby. Lost: AUG 3, 2001
All Insurance claims are in. From Lojack, The Club, DEI Viper Alarm, and Auto Insurance. Just now all a waiting process. Maybe a 90 day before seeing a insurance check. Lojack was very cooperative and i should receive my claim of $595.95 by next week. I'll keep you posted.

ITR owners aren't the ones stealing ITR's. So I wouldnt blame it on the expo. Blame it on crooked DMV employees that divulge YOUR personal info to their buddies via YOUR plate #. Blame it on proffesional Honda thiefs. Blame it on careless owners that leave their R's parked in vulnerable spots. But not on the ITR community.

Actually the ONLY ones to blame are the car thiefs and their accomplices. Not innocent people who buy swaps and dont know any better. Granted the demand for motors fuels the viscous theft-circle. But hey, the only way to make sure they dont get you is to sleep in it...armed.
If any blame is to be dealt, its to everyone who buys stolen engines and transmissions.

Or should know. If you get a ITR engine for the price of a GSR engine, and you don't question it, you're a piece of ****.

I blame all of this on the thief that does the deed, that is some fucked up stuff, In high school my friends almost had me convinced to steal a car. My conscience got the better of me, the sad part is, I didnt turn there ***'s in because I thought they were my friends.

Were any of the 'R owners screwed by recent thefts actually at the Expo? I wonder if thieves got a list of plate numbers from the event!?
What a sad world it's becoming...

Man, sorry to hear about your car. I feel very fortunate to be living in Kansas City, we don't see many stolen R's if any (knock on wood) but one thing that is really sucking is that my insurance went up because of all of the thefts that have been reported. I called my insurance company and was like "what the hell, I thought my insurance was going to be cheaper this year." reply, "because the cost of replacement for your car has gone up and all of the thefts that have been happening, we had to raise the premium." Man, I guess you have to pay to drive a nice collectors item
Love the car
hate the drama that comes with it

The mid-west seems like the safest place to own an ITR. I lived in Cleveland many years back and I still have family there. My cousin has a 99 SI (I/H/E, 17's, springs) and he leaves that thing parked anywhere and no one messes with it. When he comes to visit me in NY, we have to pay $15 to park it in a Garage overnight. Otherwise his car wouldnt last ten minutes on the street here.
Im not blaming the EXPO for the increase of theft. Just curious seeing all these R's getting jacked or attempted to get jack increase after the Expo.
They would of had a field day at the Mo Mo 8. I had a great time there and plan on going there again if they open to other cars. which one? well have to see....
