Default Prelude H23 throttle body coolant hoses can they be bypassed?

On a H23 there are antifreeze coolant hoses going in and out of the throttle body assembly is there any performance gain to connecting them together effectively bypassing the throttle body and not heating it making the fuel air mixture colder? what side affects will this cause?

you can bypass it, but you will have to take the assembly off the throttle body and plug it up, or you will end up with a vaccum leak or extremely high idle.

Not to mention your car won't like the cold at start-up.

Not true. I've had mine bypassed for 3 years with no change in idle at all. Just disconnect the coolent hoses and route one back. I'd have to double check on mine if you need a better description. Is there a performance gain? Maybe.

That valve does control the idel @ start up! It make s the engine idle @ like 1500 till it gets warm. I am sure in Alaska you car my not like a gold start up. Then once the cars reaches operating temp the valve closes, making the idel drop back down. People may do this to try and fix idel problems they may be haven @ the time. I haven't done it to mine. I don't beleive that there would be any increse in power
Could be mistaken?
To answer your Q: Yes, they can be. Why? are you haven any problems with your idel?
