Default Hissing sound from my speakers when my headunit is on?

There is a constant hissing noise from all my speakers when the headunit is on. Is this normal? Should there be any noise at all other than the music?

I have a Clarion headunit. 2 JL Audio amps w/ rockford and monster cables. There is a constant hissing in between tracks and when the volume is turned down.

It's engine noise, get it reinstalled the right way, by a good audio shop

egine noise is only there when the motor is on. if the motor isnt on u cannot get engine noise. does the hiss only come when the engine is on? if not take a look behind the radio and check the RCA's to see if there is any contact with metal. if ur unsure, wrap the RCA plugs with electrical tape.

No it's not engine noise. I hear it when i only just have the headunit on. Someone told me that it could possibly be from my crossovers? I have no idea what that means though. Hopefully it will be resolved when I install my new speakers.
