Default Who uses oil additives w/ turbo?

Does anyone use any oil additives (power punch, lucas, hyper-lube, etc) when running turbo? are there any benefits/consequences??

I wouldnt advise it. Here is some good reading on this topic. Also it may be worth your time to read around on that site......I learned some good information and read it every so often.

Here is my experience with the Lucas stuff. Works great in my jeep... I really like it quite a bit. So one day, after much debating with myself and after reading gobs of stories like the one above... I added the lucas oil stabilizer to my turbo teg. And what a CRAPTASTIC result!!
The lucas stuff makes your oil "climb the gears..." blah blah like that article said above. Great for a Jeep. Really crappy for a turbo that wants to spin REALLY FAST.. and has this crap "climbing" up its @$$ and slowing it down. Spool was waaay slower, hit full boost nearly 1200 RPMS LATER...

So, in my opinion... dont do it. Just change your oil, frequently, and use good oil.

Good to know, cuase I almost bought it, I think I'll pass now. But I have so much fun turning on the display setup in the local auto store. You know, the one example display where you can turn it, and see the wheels collect the oil. It looks so cool!
