Default Keep $3k 97 Civic Coupe for Si/SiR Conversion or buy 2000 Si

Hey whats i'm I'm new to Honda-Tech. I've had my 97 Civic Coupe DX for about 7months now and it had 76,000 miles when i bought it. It's a manual...stock everything but a old Alpine head unit with some alpine 6 1/2 speakers and tweeters in the front an a 8" Kicker Comp VR sub..not bad from a cousin. I paid $3,000 for it so he can get his new RSX. Anyways i was thinking bout doing a Si/SiR engine swap/conversion..or should i just save up for a 2000 Si? My car is in excellent shape..some minor body work needed, paint is still shiny and glossy. Thanks! [I]

Try posting this in the eg+ civic forum, you might get more responses there. This part is for the 4th gen civic.
