Default New Honda Oil Filter question

I just purchassed a pair for my ls-vtec. Have 2 quick questions. 1 there made by s4!tty Fram. Correct me if I'm wrong but the old OEM were made by some one else Toyo-Roki possablly . The next is do the new ones have a oil drain back like the old one. Where the filter will not drain back empty after sitting to prevent dry oil starts??? Just built my motor and want to be safe. If I need to start ordering HAMP will do but dang thats a bitch

I know its OEM and I ''should'' trust it but Fram....They don't use the oil drain back thingy...tech Term on there filters. Has Fram uped there filter for OEM only, or are all there new filter for this aplication going to be the same?? If thats the case why spend 5-7 dollars for a Honda Fram and just get the 2-3 Wal-mart Fram if its the same things....

Here in Canada, the Honda OEM have always been made by Fram. They are made by Fram to Honda specs, so they shouldn't be any different than they were before. And yes they have the anti-drain back valve. When you look through the holes in the end, that rubber flap is the valve. All oil filters have one. Just that the Honda ones mostly work most of the time, unlike the aftermarket ones which never work well.

It is just like tires that come from the big chains. They may have the same brands, but they are made to a different spec than the regular retail models. I always love seeing customers who buy tires at Priceclub. Sure it may say Michelin on the side, but they are made to Priceclub's (cheaper) specs. And low and behold, they have tire problems 6 months down the road, whereas if they had bought a real retail Michelin (even with the same model name) they wouldn't have had a problem.

My long winded comparison just means, it is not neccessarily the name on the part that determines it's quality. Even Fram can make good parts, they just don't sell them under their own name.

Just wanted to make sure. I used chepo frams on my old Z6 and as soon as I flipped the oil filter over it would drain oil immediatly while the Hondas will hold it back to keep this from happening and preventing dry start.
