straight pipe -vs- resonated test pipe?

straight pipe -vs- resonated test pipe?
ok i can get a straight pipe w/ flanges fabricated at the local muffler shop, but i could also order up a resonated test pipe.
$50 vs $100+ for the resonated test pipe, my ? is does the resonated test pipe mute the exhaust note noticeably more than a plain ol straight pipe ?
anyone try or had both?

resonated will be deeper and at certain rpm it will give you a resonated / zipper tone, that is my favorite part.
a lto of my friends with straight pipes have a tinny high pitched tone most of the time, that is exactly why I chose the resonated testpipe, and it is much much better in my humble opinion.

80 bucks imo is too much for a test pipe. take it to a local muffler shop and get it done for 50 bucks or less. takes no time to do.
