I think MSD 8.5 mm would be sufficient for that setup.

Thread Jack------ Here's what I want to know.. Are all plug wires the same? Stock vs. aftermarket. Which is really better? I want concrete proof, no advertising for one brand over the other. Spark energy emitted and needed to ignite fuel at normal opeation. I've been wondering if there really is a difference in wires for a long time, and lately there's been debate here about it. Anyone that has info please let me know!!!

The msd 8.8's acctually have a very low resistance. That makes it easyier on the ignition system and prolly lets a little more energy threw. There are charts for diffrent plug wires.

Its not what wire is made out of better stuff, how thick they are, or what color they are. It is about how much resistance each wire has. MSD 8.8's are under 1.6 ohm's or .16 I can't remember off hand. Stock are up to 5.0 ohm's or .5
