Squeeky clutch
OK, I found the source of the squeaking noise, the seat between the hydraulic rod and the release arm for the clutch. After searching on here I pulled the rubber boot back and slapped some high temp grease in the seat. The worked great for two days, not the squeak is back.
Any suggestions?
Thanks, Matt

Maybe, most likely not. It's not the clutch. When I put the grease on the seat where the ball end of the arm from the hydraulic cylinder hits the clutch release arm the squeak went away.

i have the same problem. i found putting grease on the clutch pedal piston didn't help. i had acura replace all the bushings on the clutch pedal yesterday and it helped the grinding feel but not the squeal. now we're considering replacing the clutch master cylinder. i know my clutch has a bad throwout bearing, but it is not what is creating this clutch pedal problem.
My clutch action was getting a little crappy, but has been much better since the grease. I wonder if there is supposed to be some plastic or something over the end of the clutch piston and that is worn out now, but at 33,000 miles?
Good luck and let me know how things turn out for you.

try replacing the throw out bearing since you said your's is bad, also maybe bleed the clutch, i had experiences in air getting into the lines and creating a sqeak noise.
I had the squeak too, I happened to need a clutch so I put a new Clutch & Fw and that squeak just happened to disapear...
I never sprayed anything with grease under the dash- there for leading me to believe the squeaks come from under the hood.
Good luck.

Thanks for the info, but my sqeak is coming from the clutch slave cylinder (the part bolted to the outside of the transmission right behind the radiator fan). When I lube the contact surface between the clutch slave cylinder and the clutch release arm the squeak went away for about a day, but now it is back. Any suggestions on a more permenent fix? I thought about some of my motorcycle chain lube (sticky as hell) but I don't think it can take the heat.

Thanks, but that you can get to go away when it first begins by pumping the clutch pedal a couple of times. Pumping my clutch pedal just makes "squeak squeak squeak" and me
mine is doing it too along with allot of other ITR's that i know of.
drop tranny, grease that "fork thingy" and bearing on input shaft. problem solved...
now i just need to get off my azz and do mine.

Just in here reading to see what everyone is up to. It sound like the throw out bearing. My civic was doing that and I knew it need a new bearing. When I replaced it, the noise went away. Its a squeeking noise like if you twist a cork in a bottle right?
Yeah.. I get the same squeeky noise you describe.. Why the hell does it sound like its coming from the pedal area? Is it just the "two cans tied together by a string" effect?
If it won't hurt anything. I think I can ignore the squeekiness for another year.
Then I think I'll crack.

did you pull out the ball and get grease in the most bottom part of the socket?
that will make the squeak go away....
you will most likely have to take the slave cylinder off the tranny to get grease in there
