Default conventional oil to synthetic oil

i've decided to run full synthetic oil and wanted to make sure i didn't have to do anything besides a regular oil change. i have been running a synthetic blend (valvoline durablend ) since i bought the car, so i don't need to mix it half and half at first, correct.

so, is there anything special i need to due or is it just a regular oil change.

Since you already had the synthetic blend, just switch to full synthetic. Some mechanics around here say not to go straight from petroleum-based oil to full synthetic. They say go with a blend first before full synthetic.

Only thing you have to do is drain the old oil and change the filter
I just swapped mine over from dino oil to synthetic. I just hit 200,000 miles this AM and I did this about 3-4k miles ago. No problems at all.
If your car has higher miles I would deff use a 10W-30 or 10W-40 rather than the 5W-30(40) for at least the 1st time.
