OK just kidding... The sensors at each wheel are mounted to read a toothed ring somewhere on the rear hub or on the front CV joint. You'll see the wires when you take your brakes apart.
Just like you have to be careful not to pull the hydraulic hose apart, you also have to be careful not to mash the wheel sensors or pull their wiring apart. It's pretty easy to avoid damaging them.
Search about brake pads. There's pros & cons for all the different choices. ABS doesn't really care which kind you get.
