I was getting really random throttle response. it was unpredictable what foot position would get me what engine speed when I was starting from a dead stop. and it felt like the engine wasn't putting out all it could. response was a little slow. so I opened the hood and checked out the throttle cable. it was all kinds of loose. so I just grabbed a wrench and tightened it up. much better. more predictible, more responsive, and now I'm getting a little more top end since the throttle wasn't openning fully before. thought I'd mention this in case any of you were having similar issues and had;t thought to check the throttle cable yet.

 

this is one of those great free tune ups for better performance tricks, and is thus worthy of a bump!
