Front window seal repair?
I drive a 98 civic hb and after the past 4 years the window seal seems to have takin a beating. i can actually see a few 1/16ths of a gap between the seal an the glass itself. It's only in the top of the window on my passanger side.
A friend recommended silicon cocking but i know for fact it'll eat my paint up. So thats a no go.
Has anyone replaced this seal or repaired it themselves? Or have a clue as to much i would have to pay at a repair shop. Thanks in advance.

CAULKING, maybe? Your spelling just sounds dirty.
On a serious note, do you have any leaks? I wouldn't mess with it if I didn't have any leaks.
My $.02

lol oopsy..
Naw not any leaks, i even took dash off to check all the way around. The Seal itself sticks out about 1/4 in to half inch up on top passenger side. Frickin ugly.
Think the seal itself would shrink if i laid a heat gun to it? Do they even shrink being that thick?

I think the heat gun would be a bad idea - it could make the rubber brittle, and that would be detrimental to sealing. Sorry I can't be more helpful, I haven't had this problem yet.
If you are really determined to fix the problem, new weatherstripping can't be that expensive, and would be much better than ghettoing up a fix.
Now you have my $.04
