WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST INTAKE MANIFOLD FOR ALLMOTOR
I just want to know which intake manifold would give me the best horsepower.I know itb are probaly the best but is there anything else that can give me good power with out breaking the bank. Right now i have a type r manifold.
just keep your ITR manifold and get it extrudehoned. that AEBS mani is showing gains but im waiting for a few more people to post some experience before jumpin on the bandwagon..

I didn;t see her yellin ... but anyway, I'm not sure I beleive the hype yet on the AEBS manifold, perhaps after someone reliable has some comparison of track times before and after ... I don;t believe in the dyno before and after crap

stock ITR IM will do just fine unless your making over 250whp... then it might be benifical to look for other possible upgrades. If your looking at a budjet mod to make your stock ITR IM flow better ..send it to portflow or some other company and have them portmatch it or even do some mild porting inside..
BTW Exturde~Hone is very exsensive.

Title in caps *shrugs shoulders* no biggy
Yeah that's why, at this stage, I'm calling "rumours"
Mackspeed is making about 270-280 on an ITR IM (standard or not, don't know)

I suggest you keep the ITR manifold you have, port match it and just use that until your at a plateau on power/times..then when all else has been done, do research again, and hopefully by then there will be more research and dyno/times on all the new manifolds that are coming out.
AEBS manifold looks promising
AIR/Endyn manifold looks dope too
JG Victor-X has been known to loose power on most motors
Wilson Manifold is not worth the $2700 price tag. Period.
ITB's are expensive, semi-difficult to tune, but make good power.
Carbs sound awesome, and make ok power. But good buy gas mileage.
STR/GE/HP Manifolds are all huge and will probably loose power on n/a setups.
The ITR and Skunk2 are proven.
Portflow, Alaniz, Endyn, etc will all port an ITR manifold and that can make good power....
Good luck

dude just get your b16 intake manifold have it all work honed polished and ported and you should get more amount of horse power than the itr intake manifold if you dont want to do that just buy a skunk2 intake manifold and have it port/polish

haha, did you not even read the post. first its a girl. second she already has a itr manifold.
i would just say ditto with the post above this guy
what other mods do you have on your engine?
and why do you think you need to upgrade your IM? just curious...

Thanks for all the info. Well except for that one guy......lol
Yeah am thinking of just getting it ported and polished. Maybe I will wait and see what is coming out. That Endyn Carbon Fiber Intake Manifold looks promising.

http://www.hondaraceengines.com/rlzhome.html on that site it shows that he does custom intake manifolds for honda/acura might want to shoot him an e-mail.
my suggestion, portout, polish and port match the ITR manifold

try checking out the carbon fiber one so how it works

Well I know it's differn't, but Mike (MotorMatrix.com) was making his 5XXwhp with a stock ITR manifold. I think a portmatched, maybe little bigger t/b opening and some mild porting would be just fine.
There has been dyno results of the b16a and b18c5 intake manifolds. The b16a manifold makes more power across the powerband then the type r manifold.

Please show me because I picked up 6-8whp across the board on a 99si buy just bolting on a Skunk2 intake manifold, boring my stock t/b to 64mm and lowering the vtec x-over to 5,000. Not a drop of tuning.

It all depends on your setup.I changed from a skunk2 to a JG edelbrock ported and polished also portmatched. we gained over 10whp over the skunk2.make sure you have enough compression, we use 14:1.soon to go on the dyno again.
We rarely use an off the shelf IM anymore... Its impossible for an IM that was developed to work with say a 1.8 to work as well on a smaller 1.6 or even a bigger 2.0 or 2.1... We use custom IM's according to compression, displacement and a few other factors... Alot of the time a custom IM will only cost you about $600 or so and will be the best possible IM for your set up seeing that it was built specificly for it... Id get in touch with RLZ and talk to Brad about a custom IM
