Default Fixing Fuel main relay

Okay, I've heard there was a way to fix it by soldering? I know the fuel wire is green and white, but that's about all I know. Has anyone here ever fixed it this way before? Or do I have to just simply replace it?

to actually fix the relay, you need to pop open the relay casing.

then look for the place where the solder has broke, and then clean it and resolder.

a little work, but cheaper than buying a new one.

replace it, it's usually a mechanical problem with the relay itself....and it'll be cheaper (in your time and agony anyway).....

Yeah, I figured it would be something along those lines. What should I expect when I replace it? Is it plug n play pretty much?

Thanks, but I'm starting to suspect it is NOT the main fuel relay. The car started up today, and had 32psi of pressure the whole time (at idle). It normally has 38. So I think my fuel pump may be going out, since the Main relay doesn't control pressure, right? Or am I wrong?

no, it doesn't control pressure, but I believe that the bad connection points can cause a loss in voltage to the pump.
