Does anyone know the size of the speakers on crx? I need new ones!!

 

door speakers should be 6.5

 

I think the rear speakers (if you were so blessed) are 6.5 and the fronts can be 5.25-6.5 depending on what you want to fit in there. I think I personally have a pair of 6.5 pioneer 3-ways in the front and stock in the back right now.

 

Anyone have a problem fitting 6.5s in the front of their CRX? Last set I fitted we had to fabricate an MDF ring adapter cause the magnets hit the window glass... Just wondering if that was the same will all types of speaker or just my infinities?

 

I have kicker k6.2's in my front... which are 6 1/2". The magnet was wayyyy to big to fit in to stock mount, but by cutting out the back of the mounts they fit fine... no clearance problems with the windows. I then mounted the tweeters in the door panels. Not sure about what will fit in the back. That brackets metal so it would be harder to mod. I dont have speakers in the back at all.... just 2 temporary 10" subs. Im just testing out my component amp (4x65w rms) and the subs are already very very very loud in bridged mode. They are just 10" blaupunkt subs in a ported box but for some reason it sound amazingly good. Its my friends box so im still not sure what subs i want to get.
