Default Help identifying parts for a Mini-me, ECU and Head.

I found a car at the junk yard that has a D16Z6 and a P28 ECU (#37820 P28 L51D), the car is automatic and the valve cover does not say VTEC, I saw the VTEC solenoid, I can't tell what model the Civic is but it has power windows.

Would this head work for a MINI-ME can I use the ECU as well or does it have to be a Manual ECU?

Thanks

You can use the head, but I'm not too sure on the ecu. You could just grab the ecu, sell it, and use the money towards a manual P28 ecu. BTW, the car is probably an EX.

it is pretty easy to convert the ecu to maunual if you so desire. I will do it for you or give you instructions if you want them

I think all you have to do is trick it into thinking the selector is in N the whole time. one of my buddies with a WRX swapped out his auto for a 5mt, and that's all he had to do. if it thinks the selector is in N, it'll let you start up and drive just fine.

yes as long as the motor its a D16Z6 it works... only 94-95's ex+si's said vtec on the valve cover...
yes get the ecu... they are gold.... and its easy to convert the auto to manual....
and if u wanna use the eecu. u have to convert ur car to OBD1
