Default Why isn't my `86 Civic alternator working?

Hi,all!
I replaced the alternator on my `86 (well,my step-son's) Civic, and turned out that it still won't charge. i would love to have a schematic of the wiring from the alternator to the battery, and one showing the wiring to the alternator from the switch? Any help for this problem? don

How do you know the alternator is not working? Here how you should check. Let the motor running, carefully losen and remove the negative bettery terminal, if the engine stalls then you got a bad alternator.
