Default Euro Spec ITR Tranny Gearing

Does anyone from Europe have specs? Christian... this is the tranny I bought from you, just wondering what the specs are.

Feels like a JDM tranny - 4.78 final with short 1,2,3,4... the cool thing is that it has a long 5th gear. I assume that might be for the Autobahn.

Anyone?

iirc:

same as jdm itr tranny.

Meaning same 1-3 as usdm, 4.785 final drive, 4th and 5th are the equivalent of usdm gsr.....

That's what my research shows, but in 5th gear at 80 I'm only spinning 4400rpm. The case has not been opened, so I'm really curious as to what's up.

Yep, at 130 Km/h I'm at ~4400 so it sounds like you have the same ratio's as mine

1 st max is ~ 60
2nd max is ~ 90
3rd max is ~ 130
4th max is ~ 190
5th max I don't know yet Haven't tried but I'll guess about 255

This is speed indicated on the speedo, not real speed which is supposed to be 238 max.

You have a higher final drive BUT a longer 5th gear. That is why.

Euro spec tranny is exactly like the JDM one.
I don't like the gap between 3rd and 4th gear on the track. 5th is OK for top speed, and I don't use 5th on the track anyway....

I would like the usdm 4th gear in the Euro tranny....

imho, you would enjoy the ats 3, 4, 5 gearset OR

usdm itr 4, 5, and ATS 4.929 final drive.

I think either one will give you favorable results on track.

euro ITR tranny is same than 97up jdm tranny.

4th and 5th are longer than USDM (of course, cause we have shorter fd), but 1-3 gear is same like USDM. 4.785 is the fd.

Cool stuff Ausmith. I also got a 4.785 FD ITR tranny from Austrian Type R. It's going to be hooked up with my b20 as soon as I get my casing problem worked out.
