what are your experience and thoughts about it??? My trunk has massive rattling that you can more than the bass whenever i turn it up. Would dynamat prevent this from happening??
Dynamat is expensive, but it works pretty well. My friend just bought a trunk kit for his Civic because the lid would rattle like a ****, and with Dynamat Extreme, it sounds a lot better. Note it does not make the sound perfect, but it improves the rattling a lot.
BTW: I would suggest to be careful with off-brands, because some are not nearly as good and even though the price is a lot cheaper, try to avoid them. My friend had Brown Bread before he traded it in for the Dynamat Extreme and it did not sound nearly as good as the DE. And the Brown Bread kept falling off when the trunk got hot

do you know to mount it? Do you just put it on top part of the trunk inside?? i would i do this with my integra hatchback??
Dynamat will stop most of the noise you get from reverb (panel flexing/moving and creating sound) but will not help if you actually have something rattlling (as in 2 panels hitting each other from the vibration). To mount it you need either a heat gun (preffered) or a hair dryer to make the adhesive tacky. Some type of roller is nice or you can us the blunt end of a screw driver or the like to press it down. The roller is nice because it doesnt mark up the Dynamat.
First, pull off all the plastic trim panes and play some bass. Climb back in there and feel around for any rattles (press into panels to try to pinpoint these rattles). Have someone outside listening for rattles as well.
When you put the plastic panels back on, apply Dynamat to the back of them. You don't have to apply solid sheets, and of course it doesn't have to look pretty since it will be out of sight.
You will not need heat to apply Dynamat Extreme.

when you say the back of the panels do you mean the part that is exposed or in the inside?

The interior panels are to be removed and dynamatted underneath.
Dynamat in my opinion is awesome... I'd try a lot of other similar products, and this has worked the best. The Dynamat Extreme is way more flexible than the standard stuff, so it's great for curvy panels, or strange configurations. When you're fixing trunk rattles, make sure you pad the license plate with something, just put some vibration absorbing material (ie. dynamat, rubber, etc) under each of the screws and tighten, this holds the plate off a little bit more, and more securely so it won't rattle...
a stethescope would come it handy for diagnostic as well...
Good luck

I'd try something other than Dynamat. That stuff's way overpriced. Try something like Brownbread. That's what i used and its great. a lot cheaper and its basically the same stuff as Dynamat, if not better.
Go to a stereo shop that you've done a lot of business with. Tell them that you want to buy Dynamat for 25% off retail. Mention that they're still making 50 percent profit, and that you've done business with them in the past... and will continue to do so.
If you knew the wholesale cost of Dynamat, you would crap...

Yeah... well... to protect my a$$ and the shops' a$$'s, I am not at liberty to mention. I can mention that when I worked at Circuit City years ago, the markup was approx 300%. That was then, and I think the wholesale has gone up a bit.
