when replacing synros, do you have to change out gear set as well?

Default when replacing synros, do you have to change out gear set as well?

i have to replace 2nd & 3rd gear syncros. i've searched and i think i heard that if you replacewhen replacing synros, do you have to change out gear as well? the syncros, you have to replace the gear set as well, or the grind will come back... can anybody confirm this?

From what I know you cant buy just the syncros, you have to buy the whole gear set.

For the GSR tranny, the 2nd gear syncro is sold as a packaged set for about $245. It is gear, syncro and some other little things. And 3rd is a just gear and syncro for about $85. I think that is about right. My buddy got me the prices a few months ago and explained it all to me, but I still haven't done it yet. I think b16's are a little cheaper and have better gearing.

yeah u can just change hte syncros, because in the tranny u dont "change gears" they are always in contact just the syncros engage of dissengage it, ive beenin trannies before so pm me if u need help
