Default picked up some new toys for the home

i know this isn't related to cars but it is related to audio.

i am now the proud owner of a pair of B&W CDM 9NT's and a CDM CNT

and

the left and rights are simply amazing and i'm currently waiting for the center channel to arrive. The highs are extremely smooth, loud and clear without being overpowering. the mids are very natural, even at high volumes they're not resonant at all and maintain the same quality of sound as at minimal volumes. The bass is very pleasing. it's not boomy at all and blends quite well with the mid and tweet. overall they're a very natural set of speakers which are great for a home theater application or just a 2ch stereo system.

I recommend these speakers to anyone that has a spare $6000 burning a hole in their pocket.

i'd take them apart, make a set of custom kick panels or redo the whole dash and putim' in the car!killer speeks man!wish i could afford something like that ,and i make $20 an hour!! i've got a book around here where a guy took a set and put them in a bmw, with 15" woofers in the kick panels.the speeks were on each end of the dash, powered by tube amps.and the subs had a zapco 900 watter on EACH sub.have a or and enjoy......peace

I thought the cdm 9nt's were about 1000 each. I was considering buying a pair since I have no car to pay for now...

What amp are you using on those? JBL 600.1

his name is earl z. and its a BMW 540. As far as i can remember he used the B&W nautilus 801 which retail for roughly $16000 canadian. he also used Milbert tube amps and sony ES electronics.

vteg, the left and right speakers retail for $2000ea CDN so i think that works out to a little more than $1000 US but then again they may have completely different prices there. the center channel retails for $900 and then we get raped on taxes so you're looking at about $5700 for the front setup

Nice speakers....
I dont hate...I just appreciate the taste factor.
Then again I'm saving for the new Martin Logan
Clarity/Mosaic/Grotto package. I feels its more
in the mere mortal/beer budget price range.

laterz...enjoy them.

i was actually listening to a pair of martin logans (not sure which model) and the imaging on them is superb. i may look into getting a pair next year if i dont step up to the nautilus line. The ones i was listening to were the same price as the CDM9NT's that i got ($4000).
