Default (Another) Azenis review w/ alignment specs thrown in

Just had 'em put on today (thanks to Vulcan for some lightning-quick shipping). Initial impressions were that they were not as direct as the previous RE010's. The current pressure is set at 35 all the way around (any suggestions for a more responsive feel?). I do most of my driving on the streets and do some occaisional traffic "dissection".

I drove about 200k on them to see if the feel would change any. So far, nothing to call mom about. I tried a quick lange change at about 140k and the car felt really loose, it took more correction than usual to bring it back in. I guess it's having to get used to the new sidewall.

To be honest, I haven't really pushed them laterally (most of today's driving was highway) so I cannot put up an opinion about their cornering prowess.

As for alignment these are the specs:

LF camber -0.83 RF camber -2.85
LF caster 0.08 RF caster -0.31
LF toe 0.05 RF toe -0.02
Total toe 0.03

RL camber -0.73 RR -2.14
RL toe 0.08 RL toe 0.05
Total toe 0.14

As for suspension, I have H&R springs. It seems like the right side is way out of whack. I don't think it needs a camber kit (I could be wrong) but that's what the tech said.

Any opinions and suggestions would be welcome. Thanks Guys & Gals.

Sounds like you're on stock wheels (since you mentioned RE-010's). Well, get use to a touch sloppy steering feedback. 205/50/15 Azenis are really wide and I hated 'em on stock wheels. Nothing you can really do to change the feel, unless you want to buy 7" or 7.5" width-ed wheels.

As for the camber, is that normal?

First, you should considering autoXing with them.

The Azenis are awesome tires on a 7" rim.. You should consider buying the wheel/combo from Cosworth

SSR 16x7" + New Azenis: 1,150

You won't be disappointed.
DISCLAIMER: I'm in no way affiliated with Cosworth. Nor do I get a kickback if you buy his SSR's and Azenis tires.

Don't go too crazy with the Azenis until you've worn them down a little. If you overheat them you WILL push and slide like crazy.

I burned my azenis down to nothing on the track, on stock rims. They start to get much better at about 75%, by the time they hit 50% they are awesome. 7" wide rims are on my wish list though....

The tech was right. You're camber numbers should be close side to side, within 1/4 of a degree. And I was just wondering, do you have a slight pull to the left?

Yes, it does pulls just slightly to the left. And I am considering Auto-Xing with them probably at the start of next year once they have worn a little. As far the as camber goes, I guess it's camber kit time. Any recommendations?

Your alignment is whack! Seriously, I don't care what kind of tires you have on there... I suspect something is up with your techs alignment rack (both right side camber numbers seem waaay off....

I suggest you at least get the front and rear toe fixed... 1/8" total toe out in the front. 0 toe in the rear or 1/16" total in.

The camber will affect how your car feels in a quick transition.

Try 38psi all around.
