Just wanted to get some straight foward answers from some prelude folk'.

A friend of mine has a civic and whenever he launches his car his wheels starting hopping also. He then proceeded to buy some new coilovers and the wheels don't hop anymore.
As for launching, a friend of mine has a h22 and he launches around 3 1/4 to 4K depending on how he is feeling ...

well in my civic I launch at 5-6k works wonders for my 60'.
But I was kinda wanting a answer from a person who has a great 60' time, and that has great 1/4 time's in there lude.
No offense... but that is what he launchs at now. And it kind of bog's down

The stiffer your suspension is, the more wheel hop you will get. As for me I'll be cutting my old stock springs and using them for the front when I hit the dragstrip.

has nothing to do with your tires, except maybe the fact that stickier tires will hop even more because its the tire that grips the most that forces the other side up causing them to both do this back and forth.

not a prelude but H22 Turbo in a civic........ 7500 to 8000 on slicks..we also have competition engineering front traction system...tires spin through first but 60 ft is ok
yea my lude hops if i rev too high. I try to work the clutch a little rather than just dropping it off the line. Works better than just peeling through the first gear into the second
Well thanx for all the response's guys.
My buddy's prelude is sitting on accord springs I believe. Stock struts.
And some new tires, I believe sumitomo's? but im not sure.
