Default myaudio background incase anyone needs help

I'm not blowing my own horn here...just trying to offer help with the whole car audio competition arena if anyone needs it. I've been a USACi Sound Q competitor for quite some time. I was regional champ in my power class in 97 and 99. I took third at usac world finals in 97, 7th in 98, and 6th in 99. I'm building my 2001 TL right now as we speak. I don't work in the audio field anymore but I have six years of experieince in sales so I'm very familiar with GOOD products. My equipment list inthe TL follows:

Alpine 7949 HU
Rockford EPX2 processor
Alpine F340 and M300 amplifiers
JL XR tweets
Dynaudio 3" silk mid
JL XR 6.5 midbass
JL 12W6v2 sub
Alumapro 15 farad CAP
Optima 800cca battery
Audioquest Diamondback RCAs
Alpine 150R alarm system with b/u battery
super lightwieght install...bunch of 'glass work...pictures should be avail in October.

I just wanted to offer my background on this board to help...Lord knows you guys have helped me in the performance forums on my other cars.

the car I ran in 97 and 98 was a 88 Accord LXi. The car I ran in 99 was a 99 Accord ... dumped on 18s...I dug it. All of my pics are analog stills...I'd have to scan them in. Everything on the TL is digital so I'll have those pics avail. in October.

hrmmm...
i was wondering if you know the most accurate sound reproduction compenents on the market are...? and subwoofers?
not the best sounding because thats a matter of preference...Most Accurate..?
ive done some searching and these are the ones that ive found:
Rainbow Reference
AVI BSM
Seas Lotus
CD-T EuroSports
Dynaudio
..i have some focal KX165's (old skool Top Of The Line) and i know how Focal sounds and i honestly think my KX's sound better then the new 165W's (too much tweets for me) but those Dynaudio's are freakin nice smooth, clean, and very well ballanced ("Damn Near Perfect")..but i havent heard any of these other ones that are suppose to be "better" then Dynaudio's.....? and please dont bring up HEX..even those 165W's put those to shame....
and also..the most accurate subwoofers?
Help?

Most accurate is hard to say. Since they will be accurate until you put them in your car. Install location will make a big difference upon how accurate they are. If you want a very flat frequency response, then pick out a set of speakers you can live with and get a 1/3 octave eq.

Rainbow...haven't heard yet and I would REALLY like to.
CDT, AVI...the cars I heard this stuff in were OK at best...I just wasn't that impressed. Kicker resolutions or Rockford FNQs would hold water with these guys in my opinion.
Focal and Dynaudio are two of my favorites. The Focal polykevlar line is awesome. I like the Utopia 5s (woofers) but I really like the Focal 5" midranges. There tweeters are stout...give'em an EQ...and you're rockin
I obvisously like Dynaudio...that's what I'm running...their midbasses are seriously power hungry so I chose not to run those. I'm running JLs XR line for midbass(which steal their cone and suspension from MBQuart). These things are some stout 6.5s...good excursion...thus good lowend extenion. I would run Dynaudios 1"...but it's just not that great. I really liked the JL XR aluminum tweeter when it came to female vocal detail, strings and percussive sounds.

oh yeah subs...
Always been a JL fan...W6v2...clean.
Focal...
Image Dynamics (IDQ)
Crossfire bmf is decent.
Kicker doesn't make anything that impresses me SQ wise anymore. The CompVRs sound better than the L7s
Rockford...go BestBuy go...naaaaaaaa
Alumapro...back around 98 or so had a really clean sub.
Alpine DDDrive 12s rocked...they quit making those too.

im highly considering the Digital Design 9100, Dynaudio sub/subs, or AVI SLS.. i talked to my friend he says to get either the RE XXX, Adire Tumult, Brahma or some others that i cant remember....
im more then likely to get the Dynaudio 340 3-way components and i wouldnt mind the Dynaudio subs to match.. i want pure SQ with tight bass and can care less for SPL.. but ive heard lots of good things about the DD9100..but ive also read some good stuff about AVI BSM so i might head up to North Hollywood to listen to the BSM 2-ways on the weekend..if i like them then i might get some of BSM 3-ways along with there subs (AVI SLS) if those sound good...
i have a Harrison Labs 1600.1 amp (1600 @1, 800@2, 400@4ohms)
i think i wanna sell it and get Arc Audio 2500, 2100, 1500D for my sub/subs and im almost positive that im gonna get new Tube Drive Blue 2150 for my components or use my First Generation Tube Driver amp that i bought brand new and never used!! its been so long since ive even pull it out of the closet

You have tube amps

Good luck with your setup. If you want pure sq, I would still recommend the xxx. It's an sq sub that happens to get very loud if persuaded

just wondering why u prefer to run the JLw6s over the W7s?? I've been lookin at 'em both and they are really impressive.... do u just not value the 80% price jump from the 6 series to the 7 series?? i dunno... I think the 6s are all I'm gonna be able to afford.... and then I guess I'll start work on better midrange and tweets.... but I also know next to nuthin about car audio so.... ya...

10K....that's it the Dynaudio 340 set is what I was thinking of I think...1,3, and 7 right? If so it's awesome. The midbasses will have plenty of kick with the Butler amp on them...it'll sound sweet too. Have you ever seen a DD sub taken apart? Or ever hear it on an SQ set-up?Didn't impress me. Go for what you like though, it's your car though. Arc Audio was one of my amp choices but they didn't make anything that would work in my power class.

TeGreeno...W6s take less power...both sound great though. If you've got a 900 watt amp laying around for the 10W7 go for it. You need 400 watts on the W6v2 to keep it clean.
