Wiring Question?
Ok, i have a 90 CRX DX with no engine, just the shell. Im going to put in either a d16z6 or d16y8 VTEC. Which ever one i see for sale first. I heard that it would just be easier to get a 92-95 civic VTEC wiring harness to just replace my CRX wiring. Is this hard? Do i have to switch all the stuff under the dash also to do this? For the d16z6 what year harness do i need? And for the y8 what year do i need? Im not for sure of the years!!
For the Y8 you will need an engine and dash harness from a 96-98 civic ex, coupe sedan or hatch. I actualyy have an interior harness I will be selling if you are interested.
Rewiring your car to obd-1 is not to hard it is time consuming but not to hard you will be alot more pleased with the way your var runs if you rewire it instead of using an activation switch for v-tec
do not TOUCH the interior harness, that is a ******* nightmare.
