ok to mount battery on its side ?
it will leak and may short out the plates inside it cause its a wet cell battery...buy a dry cell battery like an Optima or Holley then you can mount it anyway you want

Depends on the reserve capacity your looking for...basically more reserve capacity means a bigger battery which means heavier. I beleive if you look at the odyssey batterys you'll find one that will meet your needs and still be lighter than stock.
Give these guys a call they are the authorized dealer in NJ - The guy that works there is really knowledgable about the batterys and what they can and cannot do, he can also recommend a size for you.
