when accelerating car acts up, help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok, so last night, routine drive back from a friends house, nothing major, you know, so lets see, i got on the highway, and as soon as i opened her up, she starting puttering, the RPM's started jumping up and down and the car seemed like it was semi-cutting out while accelerating, so i get off the highway, get to the light near my house, as im sitting at the light the car cuts out....
so i manage to push it into the gas station, and the **** sat for ten minutes, then it started and cut off once i tried to put it in gear, then i called some friends, we sat and chilled for a bit, then i tried it one more time, and it turned on, and i raced it home (1/4 mile from home)...and thats it...professional opinions? the puttering? where the F*** did that come from? it drove fine most of the day, then suddenly it started acting up, i just dont get it...help, please! only when i accelerate did it putter and cut out, HELP ME PLEASE!

man, let me tell you, i just cranked up the car again, and tried to drive it, and lets see, i was driving along and as i hit the accelerator, the thing just started jerking, and the RPM's would jump up and down, i dont know what it is, this F22 of mine sat idle for a while, about 8 months, if thats any help, and i just started driving it yesterday, so i dont know, when i first got it started it was fine, but then later it started doing this and is still doing it...anyone ? well, let me know!
8 months???
there's your problem. Sounds like you may have some old gas gumed up on the injectors.
Also I'd reccomend filling the tank up with some fresh gas. A oil change wouldn't hurt etheir.
Also as someone else said a new fuel filter is a good idea.

Could very easily be your computer, or ignition module. When ignition modules are bad and they get hot they tend to act up.

cool, yea, it sat around for eight months, i own a few cars and i didnt drive this one since i moved back up here from Georgia, well i drove it a bit for a month or two, then i let it sit for a bit under wraps, uhm, let me think, i have a box of brand new fuel filters laying around somewhere, so it shouldnt be a problem, the gas in there is new, and the oil was changed about two months ago, so i dont know, but i can change it again, it wont hurt to have that done...should i throw in some fuel injector cleaner and let the car sit for like an hour or two and just run or something? as far as the computer, man, let me tell ya, i just got done replacing the distributor on this damn car, so there could be a possibility that its the ignition module acting up...cool, keep the ideas coming so i can keep this POS on the road! only a little more time and the H22 for this one is coming soon!
