Default Suggestions on new project car

Hey guys, just need some suggestions as to what I should do with my Civic.

Its a 94' EJ1, a fresh coat of Black Pearl was put on about 6 months ago. It has ghetto tint from the last owner (bubbled)

Ive put a midrise spoiler on it (tasteful), and a DC Sports catback (does any1 know the piping size?).

She has 265,000+ miles on her, and runs pretty strong. She only has one problem, and that is a constant rev from 1k-2k. Even when the engine is warmed up, it still revs. Any idea as to what it is?

I want to do a project swap on her since she's been sitting around for a while now (bought a DC2 )

Would a B16 swap be worthwhile? Im favoring it the most, esp the JDM motor with LSD tranny :D

What do you guys think? Maybe a B20 vtec monster instead? Keep in mind me and my friends will be doing most of the work.

well it all depends on what you want as a final goal

are you looking for a mildly fast car thats fun but reliable?

or a 12 second all motor monster?

what kind of driving do you do? track? 1/4? autocross?

Would the 2 door coupe chassis be good for autocross? I havent seen too many auto cross events up here in RI.. :/

As for 1/2 I wouldnt mind a reliable 14 sec car, possibly high 13's? Something a little fun

ITR swap with bolt-ons should put you in that range. It won't be cheap though. Just depends on how much you want to spend.

JDM GSR would be a good motor as well---it'll get you 14's and reliability
