Hey who had the highest HP + FT/LB. numbers for the day?
Also .. who had the higest ITR #'s...?
If the dood from Decal Free Honda's that took the pic of my car on the dyno could email me that file ... I'd be happy
my best run was 173.3hp / 125 ft.lb
yay.
Good meeting all of you ... I had fun watching the wheels go round the spinny thing, and stink up the garage.

What's up dude, had fun riding in that car of yours. I put up 171.4hp and 124.7 tq, of course I already lost my ******* plots...
So it looks like you had the highest ITR numbers, the other yella one put up 16X-something on a basicaly stock R.

Hehe when you first got there, I was like "That's cute, who brought their parents?" Sorry, I couldn't resist.
BTW where did you get that Spoon 4-2-1? I still kinda want one.
Where will you install your VTEC controller? I just thought up the perfect place for one.

Its all good Ross. I never did grow up. Fine by me though. But I must admit Berkels 4 door looked preety appealing to me. Stealthy old guy. hmmnn??
Got the header from Mike (typeRmsm) at IPS racing.

You were right behind me in peak HP... and we had practically the same torque...
Considering all you had was the JR icebox *cough*advancedtiming*cough*
and nothing else ... right?

ABjones: You also had some pretty darn impressive baselines for the parts that are on that motor. I think with a little tuning ... that could be a hot setup...

Having said that, I am sure that your car would beat mine at the strip, even if you put your interior back in. Keep in mind that 97-98s have a slightly different big cam than the 00-01s.

Yeah all I have is the Icebox with foam filter, I don't know what you mean by JR though.
Whoops... my bad ... Comptech product, thought it was jackson racing for some reason.
I talked to Sonic briefly later last night, and we agreed that the least-modded cars had the best day.
Yeah no joke... I was surprised whats-his-names homeless lookin-spec white teg w/ the spec b's didn't put down more wheel HP ... same for Dave W's EG...

Heh ... I'd gladly swap in my 35lbs worth of rear seats + interior and take out my 110lbs of cage + belts for a strip race
I agree with that 100%. Just make sure it starts...

Yeah that thing is quickly approaching ITR territory ...
slap in an LSD and a fat cat-back and he's good to go

Sinitron, Ross,
New battery in. Car now starts all on its own!
As for LSD.....car has 2000 ITR transmission, with ITR LSD, ITR Clutch, ITR flywheel. Gots the big cat. Need exhaust that I am more comfortable with appearence (sp/) wise.
I am just a few ponies shy of you two. I'l have to catch up. Then we go to Epping!
I think the spoon header was largely responsible for o.k. numbers....so....if you got that or similar, you would prob. be waaay ahead of me again.

Nice seeing all of you guys too. I had a great time and learned a lot while I was there. I'm still pretty surprised that with about 105,000 miles on my engine, I was able to pull a 155.7/118.5, 157.2/118.5 and 155.7 and 119.9 with an Iceman intake (w/o extention, Comptech 4-2-1 and a Greddy SP. Veritus with the 96 GSR pulled a 147 totally stock.
Sinitron, I think Gamby with the blue Si has your pics and Ross and ajbones, I got a pic of your car on the dyno. I'll let you guys know when I get them developed.
After seeing my dyno plot, it's interesting to see how I have a very light dip at 4400RPM and a second one at 5600RPM which I assume due to the dual stage manifold in the GSR. After I met up with a buddy of mine and we swapped cars for a bit since he wanted to try out my C's that was installed the night before. I drove 01R#0222 and had a blast. His R was stock except for an AEM intake and it was nice seeing feeling the extra 10 or so horsepower he had over me, not to mention the 8400rpm redline..... R's are so dope, the car is so much mroe responsive. I'm thinking about at the very minimum, I'll add an ITR intake cam. I'm not sure about valves and retainers at this time, but a set of camgears, VTEC controller and fuel pressure riser along with some tuning should be able to bump me up to my next 10 and that will be it for a while (until next summer). I've been poking around here a lot since yesterday:

I'm thinking a B20 block eventually. Better gains per $
F*@k dynos are cool!!!!!

Jeff,
yah those are good #'s for such high mileage. Those #'s are actually approaching stock R numbers. Does anyone have some webspace? it would be cool if we could get those pics circulating on H-T somehow.
Bones, I didn't know your car had all those ITR parts. I myself am not a fan of that blue/green color, but the color combined with the lack of VTEC badging and spoiler makes that car a real stealthmobile. I wasnt sure what it was when I came in. I say keep it that way, for safety's sake.

dc24me,
Your tourque was amazing. Flat all the way across! I would be happy if my plot looked like that.
Ross,
Color is a bit weird. Probably even ugly! And yes, I will keep it that way! Actualy would like to tone down the "sporty" appearence of the wheels and exhaust tip. If I had an R like your's I would leave it preety much alone. Looks great as is. Not much you can do about bad people who steal things.

Ideally what we should do it post each car's pics on the dyno along with the dynosheet and list the mods.
I love ajbones's car. It's interesting too see what another early GSR can do interms of numbers with his mods. I wanted to pull the spoiler off mine but I couldn't figure out what to do about the 3rd brake light. And he has a set of 15" silver Regamaster EVOs that he removed the decals!!! That takes nuts!!!

ajbones, I was pretty amazed at how flat it was. I'm being told the reason my plot was so flat across and I don't have a dip at about 4400 is because I don't have have the extension for the CAI installed. But I'm pretty amazed at the gains in your gsr with the mods you did and that's without any tuning...... What is the color called and was it available only on the GSRs in 94? I don't think it looks that bad and it is a rare color. "yeah, it's an LS with custom paint!!)
Hey thanks... I couldn't take you for a real spin in it tho .. the highway was too far away

dc24me,
Glad you liked my car. I thought your car looked real good also. Might have to get that chin spoiler. The color of my car was avail. in 94 and 95 I think. Color code on door frame says BPG. My color is a bit lighter than the original color. Had crappy paint when I bought the car cheap. Repainted most of it as different things were done. Repainted back when spoiler etc. was removed. Repainted the sides when I got hit in parking lots two days in a row. BTW. There is a rear light you can put in the rear window if you do remove your spoiler. From the RS teg, I think. Nobodys run me over from behind yet. It would be great if all the cars that were dyno'd listed there numbers and mods here. It was too hard to keep track of while we were at ACS. I can't wait too see the pictures you took. Talk to you soon. Also, anybody going to the openhouse/partyat ACS this saturday?

Eric (Hyper165),
I was running with my power steering on. Prob. could have squeezed another 4 or 5 hp out of it if I had disconnected it. Combined with an oil change and filter cleaning, I'd be at almost 180whp with no tuning and just an intake. With a motor this strong, I think I could rub up against 200whp with a good header/exhaust combo, cam gears, and a VTEC controller. I was actually more excited about the torque though.
Jeff and Bones,
you guys both had impressive days. The torque results you guys got pretty much cemented my decision to get a 4-2-1 header rather than a 4-1. I will prob. go with SMS or Spoon.
Bones, I won't be able to make it to the BBQ. Too bad because Id love some free dyno runs instead of paying 50 bucks.

It's a really nice piece, that Honda Access front chin spoiler. Your car would look pretty pimp with that and your regamasters. I like subtle stuff. I like this chin so much that if my car didn't need to get repainted and if the lights weren't so chipped, I'd keep it. I wanted an 96R nose on my car, but didn't have the money to do it this year, so I settled for his.
The LS/RS/98+R hatch glass has 2 holes which the brakelight bolt onto. Can you drill holes in glass? I just don't want the rear light to rattle when the bass hits...

Ross - you hit 17x hp/125 tq on a bone stock motor with just an intake and advanced timing? Wow, that's pretty damn impressive. If you don't mine me asking how much timing did you advance on each of your 3 runs? Any details would be greatly appreciated as I'll be taking mine for a base run in Sept. BTW, which dyno did you guys run on? Thanks.
