whats the difference between a b18b1 and a b18a1 motor...is the horse power and everthing else the same

Cams and Intake manifold plus the Obd 1 to 0 I believe also . 10 Hp diff. The b has the extra 10. Someone back me up its been awhile since Ive studied this stuff.

Yes ...Pretty much b18b is normaly going to have lower miles , Which wont matter if your going to rebuild it right for ls vtec .

for some reason i remember the b18b to have a little more torque than the b18a...could be something completly differant tho

i think the
92-93 b18a1 is the same as the 94+b18b1
88-91 b18a1 is the weaker one
something like that i cant remember the years

90-91 b18a1 has weaker cams and intake manifold compared to a 92-93 b18a1
and then they made the 94+ b18b's a little bit better than the 92-93 b18a's

92-93 = 140 hp 121 lbft tq

B18B
94 + 142 hp 127lbft tq
