Pressure washer! NOT FULL BLAST! I do not clean the header at all, It is wrapped with DEI header wrap and oversprayed with high temp silicon spray paint. I think my engine bay looks pretty good.

I just use a normal hose, I cover the things off I don't want to get wet. Then I clean it and start it right up after wards, this way the spots I can not dry or can't reach to dry, the engines heat will dry them for me.

i use Simple Green mostly... if i'm really trying to clean it up, i'll bust out the hose and have my way with it. an old tooth brush helps a lot too.
for the header, it's kinda hard to clean it up if it's stainless. NeverDull works a little bit and if you're trying to get the blue/purplish color away i heard you're supposed to use "Blue Away"... i guess they have it at places that sell Harley's.

Actually, I think the word header is short for head pipes. We have 4 head pipes, thus we have a set of headers.
Anyway, They make this stuff called engin gunk, and it works great. Just remember to cover your electronics.

Instead of risking a wet dist. cap (under it), just keep your car idling while you wash it off, just be careful what you spray/wash.
I learned this the hard way and sputtered all the way home once...

Then why are pants called a pair when there are only one, and used in the plural form? It can be said about headers or header. I have heard it both ways and seen it in books and magazines both ways.
