HF's don't have front bumper support right? somewhat ok to take off si's?
My intercooler is going to be a bitch to fit, and removing the front bumper support would help out hugely. But I'm concerned about my car crushing like a soda can if I get in an accident. But I was thinking, HF's don't have front bumper support correct? So it can't be that dangerous right?
japanese crx dont have the big honkin bumper supports we do because they dont have the same crash regulations we do. removing them would mean the chassis would take more damage in a crash. i think youd be fine without it, just damage the frame easier. HF's do have bumper supports, just lighter ones. the japanese models are pretty much thin pieces of metal that barely hold up the bumper in place.
the si have a boxy looking suport while the hf i believe have a tubular support, corect me if im wrong (havent had a hf in 2 years) its thinner and lighter
the problem is getting something to hold the bumper cover up in the middle after taking the support out.
