16inch wheel question?
i have a question. might be a lame one at that, but anyways. i have 17inch wheels right now, my car is at stock height. i have a full body kit so i dont want to lower it cause i dont want to hit everywhere i go. is there anyway to get rid of my wheel gap with a 16inch wheels, i.e. add bigger tires? i know if i have 18's the wheel gap would probably go away, but i was just wondering if it would be possible to add a bigger tire on a 16inch wheel? any pics would be great.
thank you for your time

Umm.................... just do a small drop. Bigger tires will make it look like a monster truck with a kit. trya eiback prokit and just be carfull driving. IMO cars with bodykits need to be lowered or they look funny.
yea, you got any pics of your car? if not..try to post one and let us see what your car looks like at the present moment. but listen to us..you gotta drop it a bit.
here is a link to some pictures. i know they might not be the best. sometimes my car looks decent where it sits but other times there is too large a wheel gap, especially in the rear. if the link or pictures are no good let me know ill try to get some more. thank you for the help

Your wheels gap isn't all that bad. I think you need to worry more about how to fix the front of your car. I'm not trying to be mean, but your bumper, hood, headlights are FUGLY!!!

Here's the thing, if you change the wheel diameter and length of the sidewalls and width of the tire, the dynamics of your handling will completely change. You will either end up with a spongy sloshy ride or have tire rubbing underneath the fenders. I do not recommend anything larger than 17 on your car. You might want to try using OEM ITR springs which offer a mild 1 inch drop over stock integra springs. I'm not certain if your particular civic can interchange springs with the 94-01 dc's. Else you can cut your springs by two coils all around.
If you are looking to lower the car, you will need to look at shocks and struts as well as springs. I always advise people to do the suspension first before doing their kits. well, good luck on whatever you decide.

When changing wheel and tires size, the goal is to always maintain the stock rolling diameter so that things such as gearing and speedo reading remain intact. The only way to lessen your wheel gap is to lower your car. Going up one profile size from say 40 to 45 wont hurt that much. But you should be aware it will affect your speedo and introduce a slight change in gearing, very slight though.
