Crank shaft pulley removal help
Any tips on getting that crank shaft pulley off? That pulley turns counter clockwise which is the directions the bolt needs to turn to come off. I know they sell a tool to help remove this the tool is a bit pricey just for a one time use.
Search works, too....
Anyway, what I've done is take the splash shield off (to make it easy) then go to a corner garage & have them loosen it with an air impact wrench. Tighten it back up, but just enough to drive straight home & remove it.

Thanks for the info, but I don't want to involve any of them. I want to be able to do this myself. There is a tool that can do this, I just wanted to know what I can get it at a decent price.

no shame in gettting a little help. save yourself a headache and get the local garage to knock it loose.

Since your only planning on doing this once just go and have someone else break it free. I bought the special tool from The Tool Wharehouse for like $40 on sale I think. The good thing about the tool is it works for like almost if not all hondas and acuras.
