Breaking off a broken axle stuck on a jack shaft ideas?

I need to get the jack shaft seperated from that axle stuck on there, so I can finish my swap and 5spd conversion. I have one crowbar and it won't do anything I beat the living hell out of it onto the ground didn't do anything.
Any tips on how to seperate this? Right now all I can think of is another crowbar or getting a pot and boiling water and dipping that in it for a bit to maybe expand it?
Please help so I can get my car off jackstands
Badass. i just had the same problem. Any nobody helped. All I did was get a hammer and beat the **** out of it all teh way around. I'd give 3-4 good hits turn it 1/4 way and reapeat. Took me about a minute. I Thought about hitting it with a torch to expand the metal but got it off right after that thougt. I had three shops try to get it off and they couldn't
Thanks, I still have my reciept from the yard with 30 day warrenty, I just don't want to find someone to drive me an hour out of dallas to return it if I can get it to work. Hopefully tonight after class I can pop it off.
i just beat the **** out of the jack shaft by pounding it on a concrete ledge downwards so the axle fell out.
this was in the parking lot where the ******* thing decieded to snap.
