Default Breaking off a broken axle stuck on a jack shaft ideas?

I need to get the jack shaft seperated from that axle stuck on there, so I can finish my swap and 5spd conversion. I have one crowbar and it won't do anything I beat the living hell out of it onto the ground didn't do anything.

Any tips on how to seperate this? Right now all I can think of is another crowbar or getting a pot and boiling water and dipping that in it for a bit to maybe expand it?

Please help so I can get my car off jackstands

Badass. i just had the same problem. Any nobody helped. All I did was get a hammer and beat the **** out of it all teh way around. I'd give 3-4 good hits turn it 1/4 way and reapeat. Took me about a minute. I Thought about hitting it with a torch to expand the metal but got it off right after that thougt. I had three shops try to get it off and they couldn't

We'll get it off tonight. Thanks for the suggestions .. I figured a crowbar would work but apparently not.

I have no problem beating the hell out of something. :D

</TD></TR></TABLE> WeRd! I broke my hammer trying it so i had to borrow another from the lame mechanic shop accross the street tht didn't know how to take it off. Instead they tried takin the bearing of the intermediate shaft. :hammer The hammer was old and had lame wood handle so I didn't care if it broke.
