I just wanted to know, i used to have that magazine from superstreet but I lost it somewhere. The reason I was asking is somebody where I live won one of them. He won the drag one, not the one built for autox. Anybody remember what that thing ran in the 1/4 mile?

anybody remember what was all in that engine? I saw the engine up close so it's for sure a jdm type r because all it said was b18c on the block. The guy is selling it for 14K. He open the hood and it looks real and for sure it's the JUN header and oil cap. The thing is he had a aem short ram on there. But the valve cover and spark plug cover look like real jun pieces. He's got te37s with gforce drag radials on them too. How high do you think that car redlines? The guy told he's never taken it past 9k rpm just to be on the safe side. I told him to take it all the way up to like 10k rpm.

All it says on there is B18C, there no numbers or anything after that.
I can verify that as I do have a video tape of the Jun drag civic running 13.1's consistantly at LACR in Cali.. as well as other bad *** cars =P back in 1999 or 2000..
I actually have the magazine that you're searching for. Here is what is written in Super Street:
1996 Honda Civic Hatchback (Drag Car)
Under the hood: '99 Honda B16A (JunB16A/1,800cc stroker engine) Assembly balance, Jun Type 3 camshafts, connecting rods, 82mm stroker kit pistons, piston rings, 18 stroker crankshaft, ported and polished head, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, custom air intake, EK4 stainless exhaust, header, cam gears, ECU, yellow/green valve cover, B16A/B18A clutch, '99 Honda transmission w/special gear ratios, Greddy ISO 7 spark plugs, Cusco limited slip differential
Stiff Stuff: Tanabe Sustec Pro coilovers, corner weight balance by Jun
Rollers: Volk Racing TE-37 wheels, BFGoodrich T/A Drag Radial (front), G-Force T/A (back).
Stoppers: Project U? (It's a wierd symbol) B-Force brake pads, Baker brake lines.
Outside: Jun aero hood, front lip spoiler, eye liner, EK4 wing.
Inside: Sparco Pro 2000 seats, steering wheel, seat belt harness, Greddy gauges (oil tem, oil pressure, water temp), Honda Optional Equipment silver shift ****, front floormats.
Props: Jun, BFGoodrich Tires, Tanabe, Volk, Mackin, Project U (looks like a backwards 4) Sparco, Honda Optional Equipment, Neo, Baker, Pivot, After Hours Paint---Brian Kono.
That's the write up word for word from the Super Street magazine from July 2001. Hope this helps!!

Why did you tell him to take it up to 10k when it probably loses power about 9k?
