b18c head on obd-0 b16a questions

Default b18c head on obd-0 b16a questions


is the gsr head worth putting on a b16a?
i know the b16a head is the type r head.. same part #
but i hear people doing this head swap.. is there an advantage?
whaqt kind of hp gains or losses...

Higher compression. GSR stock intake manifold flows like poo though.

Nah i dont think so it doesnt line up correctly...but the b16 and the type r heads ...they are the ones that will fit....if your gonna try to put a b16 manifold on a gser ...just get a Skunk2.

yes, they are very similar because they are made using the same cast. the difference being the ITR head is hand ported at the factory.

if you have a type r head, then yes. only similarities are the castings. Thats IT.
Cams/Valve-train/Intake Manifold/ Mild Porting are all on the Type R head.
The 1st gen b16 head can be made to be like a type r head but stock for stock, no comparison.
