Noobie ??? about turbo setup on d16y8
okay, im a noobie at turbo (been n/a and now the dark side is pulling me
) just have a quick ? and its going on my 2000 coupe ex with a d16y8, is rev hard's turbo setup here http://groupbuycenter.com/buy.aspx?id=11878 complete with everything i need to put the turbo together or do i need more things? also, i know that i need gauges and what not, but what gauges (what name brands too) do i need (please be kind and list like boost controller, etc.), also i do have a v-afc from being n/a, now ive heard about a vafc hack or a poor man's hondata, how do you do it, or do i have to take it to a tuner?? thanks in advance and please no flaming, im a noobie at turbo.

That kit does come with everything needed. I'm not very familiar with it but it looks decent. The VAFC Hack basically allows you to throw bigger injectors on your car without having an fmu. The VAFC allows you to controll those injectors rathing than having the fmu controll the fuel. Works great for me
. What you'll need is a VAFC, DSM 450 CC or some 440CC injectors and a resistor box from an 88-91 honda. Also, for gauges, Autometer are fine. People say that they aren't accurate but I say they work just as well as Greddy/Defi. People have their own opinions so whatever. Have fun with it. I know at 5.5 psi I'm having fun and waiting to boost more :-P
