Driving around regularly. As I slow down to a stop the vehicle suddenly dies. I start it back up and it drives like normal again. A few miles later the car begins to studder and feels like it's going to die again. Any idea what could be the cause?
Car has about 30k miles with basic bolt ons.

You need to be more specific, what bolt ons, how fast, what kinda shifting, weather, last time you did a tune-up?

 

VAFC, header, cat, and exhaust.
Just normal driving, shifting between 3-4k rpm. Coming to a stop at about 20mph in second gear, car bogs, I press the clutch and the car dies.
Spark plugs were changed about 2k miles ago.

 

VAFC, first I would have to say check all of your connections on that and then go from there, Are they spliced and taped or soldered ?

 

lisa, are you throwing any CEL?

I'd check the distributor and plugs as a starter. And, as other's have mentioned recheck the V-AFC connections. Maybe someone accidentally reset the settings.

 

No, CEL light when it happened. The car just suddenly died. The plugs were recently replaced. Could the distributor be bad already at 30k? I've had a friend look at the connections. It "looked" secure. How does one reset the settings?

reset which settings? the VAFC? did you make sure to run the "setup" on the VAFC as listed in the manual ? (when you first installed it?)

you could pull your batt/or unplug the ecu to reset your settings.
