Also besides transferring power from the engine to the tranny as mentioned above, the flywheel also has the ring gear around the outside edge, which meshes with the pinion gear on the starter and makes your car start

Definitely.
You will feel that the engine is more rev-happy.

Dude the flywheel has nothing to do with the Wheels on your car. i would have thought you would have realised that after the pictures and the explanations.

hence the

If your flywheel hits th curb u have messed up in a big way.

isn't flywheel atttach to LCA ?
when I meant hit the curb i didn't mean it hit "HARD", what i meant was when I park the car and it hit the curb in front
Coz my LCA bend a couple months ago , maybe coz I hit the curb that's why I am being cautious

we're not talking flywheels as in "dem some fly wheels y0!", there's one flywheel, it transfers power to the drive axles. also, flywheels are only for cars with manual tranny's, there's no AT version. and no, you're not gonna bend it by hitting a curb.

and yes, MT means manual, AT means auto. if your car is AT, this isnt an option for you anyway.

the flywheel is not near or related to the 2 front wheels. The flywheel is on the crankshaft not the axles(which are attached to the wheels). There is only one flywheel and no it will not bend when u hit a curb. It is hidden in between the transmission and the engine. It is safe. Lightened Flywheels give better throttle response and allow car to rev easier. Some say you loose botom end torque due to less inertia...

Oh damn, that's some funny ****!

I think ddua might be mistaking flywheel"s" for rotors.

flywheels are and can be found for bout 240-260 online

we sell fidanza a very good brand for 250 shipped:
they weight only 8lbs compared to stock 12-16 lb ones.. they will help the car rev faster
they are put inside the engine bay , connecting the clutch and tranny: it is confusing to a noob, but hit me up for more info if you need to order
