I have two rails bolted to a home-made trunk floor (pegboard). On the box, there are two rails that match the ones in the trunk floor. These are bolted together in normal use so the box doesn't move around. At the track, my box can be removed (though it usually gets removed and stored somewhere safe). I then pull out the trunk liner carpet to save some more weight.

I don't have a floor to my trunk so I bolted it straight to the back seat
