HondaBond HT substitute?
Does anybody know of a good, suitable, OTC substitute for HondaBond? I plan to adjust the valves in a few days and wanted to use the right stuff on the valve cover gasket, but the damn Honda dealer wants over $17 for a crappy little tube of the stuff!
Any of the "Ultra"-series RTV silicone should be fine. I like the Ultra Copper's higher heat handling, but any of them should be alright for a valvecover.
SEARCH!!!
Good god, there's PLENTY of topics on this! I just looked it up the other day!
But yes, the grey Permatex RTV compound is a perfect replacement.
