Thinking of selling my '97 Type-R
I'm pretty sure that I'm going to go ahead and sell my '97 ITR. It's bone stock, in good shape and has 85k miles on it. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma and haven't seen another ITR in this area since I bought it over a year ago. So that has to be worth something since you can't find one anywhere around here. Anyways, what I'm wanting to know is how much I should ask for it.
no one knows for sure how much they should go for, unfortunately.
if you can find the right buyer, it wouldn't be hard to sell it for ~$16k.
If you're impatient and have to let it go quick, I can't see you getting more than $13-$14.5k for it. The one saving grace might be the original certificate of authenticity, which might boost the value of the car. Because, '97 is the only year Acura handed out the paper work. G'luck.

So from what I just read, Your going to sell your R because you don't have any other Rs to play with?
Honestly that is what I gather from reading your post, would you like to define your reason for selling it better- OR is it none of my business?
Then again I would like to know A "better" reason since you posted this on the internet.
Yeah don't take anything less then 15k for it. that would be an insult.

Yeah, i didn't make myself very clear. It's just starting to get a little older and I'm thinking about selling it and getting something a little more reliable. I'm giving a little bit of thought to an S2000 or EVO or a couple of other cars. Anyways, what i was saying is that there aren't anymore around here at all so i should be able to get what i need out of it because of that reason. People don't have a choice, if they want an ITR they'll have to buy mine around here. Not that '97's are common anywhere.
For the love of god, I asked a simple question, i'd like to get a simple answer. i just wanted an idea on what to ask, not have to freakin' explain to everyone why i'm selling it. jesus, i think i'm going to buy a Mustang Mach1, you know something with a little bit of torque and blow the doors off of all of your cars.

*snicker*
Sure, go ahead. Buy that Mustang & blow the doors off the ITR owners in here. Just watch out for that curve, it's coming up really fast. And that R will be in & out of it, & through the next one before you realized what in the hell just happened.
