Default something seems a little out of place here....

Alright I've got a friend who "claims" to have dropped 7g's on his engine, and he doesn't have turbo...so first of all thats .....second of all...he claims to have 315ish horsepower....this is ALL MOTOR....is this ******* possible? I call his bs but he still thinks he's the ****....he tried to front like he had hondata and shti in his glovebox but nothing there when I looked, he said he had a comptech header but I looked under the hood and stock heatshield and everything...can anyone tell me something?

Why does it matter?

Either he has it or he doesnt. It should be of no consequence to you how much **** this guy talks or whether he spent the money or not.

Well there are some ways to drop 7k into a motor with out it being turbo or supercharged..

Hytech has an all motor kit that puts it into the 300+ whp mark that runs 7-8k dollars.

As for having hondata in his glove box, he is an idiot. Hondata is a company that reflash's your stock ECU and retunes it. In other words they reprogram the cars computer.

If your friend is talking about comptech's regular header he got no more then 2-4 hp at the wheels at most, but there is also the comptech race header which puts out 18+ whp.

But by what he is telling you, he sounds like he is full of **** so do not believe a word he says.

yeah he says he'll race and beat me, and put money on it, which is why I'm asking....he never did know **** about cars...and I highly doubt he's got that hytech stroker kit...I drove the car today...and it wasn't like "holy ****" or anything

also, do any of the comptech headers retain the stock heatshield? (like I said, stock heatshield was in place so I'm pretty damn skeptical)

You realize street racing is now a felony in florida right?

Take it to the track, and run your cars and have a good time. No need to bet money or talk ****. Just go and have fun.

just a question. wondering if you're talking about the heatshield between the firewall and motor or the intake manifold cover?

not saying if its true or not,
but this guy put out 205 hp @ 9000 rpm all motor on a 1.4 litre carbeurated.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=604242

well, i don't know what kind of engine your friend has & dont know what mods he has, but some people are crazy enough to make a stock 85 hp (on the fly) to a 205 hp (on the wheel) all motor.

so if he is for reals and modded his engine that much, then maaaaaybe its possible to get up to 305, but who knows, he can also be full of crap

I never said you were.

But my point of go to the track and have fun still stands. Who cares if he's talking **** about his motor, it shouldnt matter to you one way or another.

Dont let it bother you. Its really not your problem.... its his. If he's insecure such that he needs to talk **** or lie about his car then its not worth your time.

its doable to put 7g's into a motor. if you get all top of the line **** like toda, jun or spoon. almost a g for header, almost a g for flywheel...

Too bad hypetech hasn't even come close to backing up that claim yet.
